The Origin of Me
This is the first edition of Tattle and Tea, a vlog where I just chat to you guys over a cup of tea. In this first one I introduce myself.
Welcome to this, the first episode of tattle and tea.
It’s just me twittering on with a cup of tea. At the end I may ask a question, or you can suggest something you want me to tattle about in the comments section.
The idea of this being that I can chat to you as if we were just hanging out with a cuppa, and then we can have a conversation.
For the first one I thought I’d talk a bit about myself so you have some idea of what I may be talking about in the future.
I’m an English, tea drinking, cookie consuming, animal adoring, creator of films.
I like to read. I read a lot of different things, sci fi/ fantasy/ classics/ bit o’ horror, paranormal. As a rule I don’t really read romance, unless the premise is intriguing in some way- I’m unlikely to pick up a book with a pouty woman and half nekkid man on the cover. Even if there is a tasteful swathe of silk.
I like to:
create and look at arty stuff, go for walks, and do general outside type things like looking and pointing. I also like not doing those things and staying on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket, either reading, looking at cat memes, or talking to people online.
The main part of my life at the moment is filming stuff.
I love to do that, and YouTube is a great way of enabling this. I think it’s because when you have a camera you’re looking for a whole new angle to whatever it is you’re filming. You force yourself to see things in a whole new light, and as a result something that might look quite mundane on the surface takes on a whole new aspect.
It’s also possibly why I like to read- whole new worlds hidden behind a cover, all you have to do is turn the pages and let your brain take you on a journey.
So that’s me in a nutshell,
and this is my mug. It has Eeyore on it- he’s my favourite, and this is my favourite mug, not only because of the general Eeyoreishness of it, but because of the amount of tea you can fit in it.
It’s a good cradling mug too.
I guess my first question to you guys is- do you have a favourite mug?
