Jo Takes you through her Tea Collection
I am an avid tea drinker, and in this film I decided to take you through my loose leaf tea collection.
You can get yours at Monteas
In the first video I talked about me
And since the second half on this topic title is tea it seems only fair that I talk about my tea collection, and my experiences with tea.
I have two hands down favorite teas, and only one favorite supplier. Monteas in Monmouth, that’s a non paid plug.
My favourite tea is Assam Borengajuli (may or may not be pronounced right). It’s a black tea, and it’s the tea that wakes me up in the morning, and keeps me going through the day.
My other go to tea is mint and chocolate roobois.
It’s not too minty, and the chocolate offsets it nicely. It’s a favorite with people who come to visit.
It is so far the only tea that I like hot and without milk, but it also makes a lovely and refreshing cold tea for hot summer days.
I have yet to try it with Pimms.
Vienna Crème Caramel.
It’s quite a smooth flavour, not overpowering. I do drink this one with a little milk, although I can drink it without too.
Cinnamon Orange Black tea
This one is ok, not my favorite, I prefer it as a cold tea, but it feels like it needs something to soften it a bit, perhaps chocolate.
Cherry and Banana Mix
This one is a bit of an odd duck, I wasn’t sure about it as a black tea. With milk in it it turned purple, and was a complete no. I really like it as a cold tea though. It’s also the one that takes longest to brew- seven whole minuets, but since I brew it in bulk and store it in the fridge I don’t mind.
Jasmine Dragon Phoenix pearls
I love the name of this one, and the way it unfurls and into a deep green leaf as it brews, but it’s a strange one for me. It was my introduction to Jasmine tea- it’s a subtle smell, and its taste is delicate and yet somehow overpowering. I’m sure jasmine tea drinkers will know what I mean.
Those I know who like jasmine tea love this one, but I don’t drink it that often.
